Now the time had come. The long-awaited dream of a convertible should be fulfilled. Said and done.
There it was... a classic luxury roadster with two seats and a powerful 8 cylinder.
Winter came just as quickly as the dream car.
One thing was clear - the convertible would only be moved when the weather was nice and would therefore go into hibernation.
How do you avoid stand damage/stand plates? Jack up, convert to cheap winter wheels or would you rather do both? And that every year? There has to be something that simplifies things.
This something should be compact. Smaller and lighter than the winter wheelset, quick and easy to set up and of course protect against flat spots.
Perfect properties
Since the younger brother had been making various things from rubber granules for a long time, the raw material with perfect properties was in front of him.
The first formwork was quickly calculated and made, now it was time to experiment with what size granules and what mixing ratio, how much glue?
The mats should be robust enough to withstand the weight of the vehicle, but also be as gentle on the tires as possible. Eventually the perfect mix was found and the first set of TopRubbers was born.
Advantages quickly understood
The convertible's tires survived the winter very well thanks to the mats. No noises and no “beating” in the steering wheel and that after 4 months of use. *mission completed*.
During that time, many friends became aware of the mats under the tires and quickly understood the advantages of TopRubber.
The demand grew and the decision was made, we don't want to withhold that from the rest of the world.
